Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady caused a stir by missing practice on Friday for personal reasons. The unrest can officially end. Brady is back.

Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Weather has video evidence released of Brady in training.

Brady had missed two practices, and he hadn’t been on the field since news broke that the Dolphins had heavily impaired him, from 2019 to 2022. Brady has yet to hold a press conference since the NFL announced his findings, so he was not asked about the matter.

Wild guess – the questions he receives from the media covering the Bucs will be very different in tone and content from the questions he would currently endure from the Boston media.

While Brady didn’t do anything wrong (by the rules) by being trafficked, the timing and scope of the talks goes far beyond simply taking a phone call and politely refusing to pursue the possibility. He and Dolphins vice president Bruce Beal, a close friend, had numerous communications about Brady playing for the Dolphins while Brady was playing for the Patriots and Buccaneers.

Brady has every right to do so. But it’s hard to fully accept the idea that Tom is all about the team when Tom is really all about Tom. He wants to pick his next place to play with the primary goal of whether this organization will help him achieve his goal of winning not just another Super Bowl but, ideally, all of them.

Once he’s on a team, he’s all about the team. Because it has to be all about the team in order to get what Tom stands for.
