The first preseason game of the NFL’s 103rd season begins Thursday with the Hall of Fame game between the Las Vegas Raiders and Jacksonville Jaguars.
The game will give most players vying for roster spots a chance to shine as many star players from both sides are expected to sit down.
The Jaguars have previously said quarterback Trevor Lawrence and running back Travis Etienne, who just suffered an injury at Lisfranc and missed his entire 2021 rookie season, will not play. Jake Luton will start as backup quarterback CJ Beathard recovers from a groin muscle injury.
